Palms of Goa

After hearing about Palms of Goa for so long, I finally had the infamous lunch deal with work colleagues last week, and now I understand what I’ve been missing!

We visited Palms of Goa, New Cavendish Street, although there are two other ‘Palms’ in close proximity, one in Soho and the original on Charlotte Street. I had walked past many a time and had heard the amazing reviews from people at work, so really wanted to know what all the fuss was about.

I was delighted to find the food to be really flavoursome and filling. The menu did not seem overpriced at all and the waiters were attentive and friendly.

For £5.95 the lunch deal menu consists of two vegetarian and two meat dishes:
Onion Baji Mix
Onion baji, Mixed vegetable curry, Chana masala, Raitha, Rice and Nan bread

Batata Wada Mix
Batata wada, Vegetable kofta curry, Chana, Raitha, Rice and Nan bread

Tandoori Chops Mix
Tandoori lamb chops,Green chicken masala, Mixed vegetable, Raitha, Rice and Nan bread

Tandoori Wings Mix
Tandoori chicken wings, Lamb curry, Mixed vegetable, Raitha, Rice and Nan bread

I had the chops and they were amazing! The lamb chops were so full of flavour and definitely the best part of this dish! The green chicken masala was delicious and wholesome and left me wanting more; the sauce was just the right consistency and the naan bread was light and fluffy and perfect to soak it up.
