Last Sunday, I went to Feast London…if you haven’t heard of it, it is pretty much self-explanatory…a feast in London for foodies! From the 3rd-5th August, a small section of Guy’s Hospital in London Bridge was transformed into a food lovers heaven!
Top London street food joints such as Street Kitchen and Pizza Pilgrim joined forces with some top London restaurants like Hawksmoor, St John’s, Moro and more to host a great little pop-up food experience called Feast!
In addition to the glorious food, there was plenty of cocktails and other tasty alcoholic beverages flowing, all accompanied by a great DJ pumping out the tunes throughout the day.
Throughout the day, my friends and I sampled various delights such as some risotto balls from the Arancini brothers, a tasty kimchi burger from Hawksmoor, seabass ceviche from The last days of Pisco. We also sampled some divine tempura prawns – the batter was so light it almost melted in our mouths!
We endured some firsts..snails wrapped in bacon and cooked in garlic, which were surprisingly yummy and had the same texture as mussels. Another first was mustard rabbit with a gorgeous chilli sauce!
As well as this, we chose to gorge on some spiced cider and gin cocktails and devour some gorgeous macaroons and brownies for our ‘dessert’!
All in all a lovely day with friends, tasting some great food…not sure that we should have had to pay £6 to get in, and then have to pay for all of the food inside…there was so much on offer, we wanted to eat it all but found ourselves so full that we wished every stall did tiny taster options so that we could have canapes of each!
