Product of the month: Yo! Burger
I bloody love sushi and one of my first ‘sushi’ experiences was at Yo! Sushi, a great introduction to sushi place as it does not serve just raw fish but lots of tasty Japanese dishes and there is always something to tickle your fancy whether it be salmon/chicken/duck or squid!
Sushi is seen to be quite healthy and many of us who love our food are keen to be devouring great tasting food that isn’t going to add 5 inches to our hips. With burger joints being the latest fad and emerging all over the country claiming to be the ‘best’ it’s hard not to want to try them all, but it’s not just your standard beef burgers that are at it…Yo! Sushi has jumped on the burger bandwagon with it’s own ‘healthy’ Japanese rice burger.
No, there is not a sniff of beef in sight, but there are 5 tantalisingly good options sandwiched in between the toasted Japanese rice bun, all of which have far less calories then your Big Mac! It was a very close call but the tilapia burger nabbed the top spot, although surprisingly the tofu was pretty high on the list! This is not to say that the chicken, salmon and prawn burgers were far from delicious…all of them were uniquely amazing in their own way and I’m salivating at the thought of them!
At £8 it’s a little steep, but in line with the rest of Yo! Sushi’s pricing…the burgers also come with sides such as noori crackers, daikon slaw and misochup so you are likely to be full by the time you finish!
