Vapiano Soho Review

When you go out to eat, you tend to want tasty, fresh food, made to order right? Well if that is your criteria, then Vapiano is the place for you to try. It’s essentially a pizza/pasta bar that is raising the standards of the traditional fast food culture – top quality, fresh food cooked in front of you.

Wardour Street is not short of good restaurants, and Vapiano fits in well amongst them. The Soho eatery is the third chain in London and I urge all of you Londoners to head down there.

I was lucky enough to attend the VIP press launch and boy do these guys know how to party!

Vapiano not only has amazing food but the staff are all incredibly friendly and you are without doubt due to get a truly great service.

The pasta is made fresh daily using water and durum wheat semolina and of course the sauces are homemade too! The scampi e spinaci (£9.95) is definitely one of my favourites (king prawns, basil pesto, cherry tomatoes, spinach in a light cream sauce) but I’ll be going back to work my way down the rest of the menu!

The pizzas are also made from scratch, using fresh yeast and fine flour and you can tell! The thin and crispy bases are to die for.

By this point, you may well have a big food baby (especially if you’ve had some antipasti – hey, I’m not judging, good choice!) but please, please, please whatever you do, leave room for dessert. You may have to have a rest and take a breather, but I assure you it will be worth it! You can choose from a small or large option on all desserts and I’d suggest getting a large panna cotta because I literally was licking the jar for every last scrap! It had the perfect amount of wobble and the blend of cream and vanilla topped with a fruity strawberry sauce tasted like a small spoonful of heaven!

So what are you waiting for? Get down there now!
