One-O-One Restaurant, Knightsbridge
The fish finger is celebrating its Diamond anniversary with an upmarket ‘finger’ themed menu at the One-O-One seafood restaurant.
Executive Head Chef, Pascal Proyart has created a menu paying homage to the humble fish finger to celebrate 60 years since Clarence Birdseye launched the first fish finger in Great Britain.
Pascal has been credited previously with introducing King Crab to the UK and is passionate about bringing sustainable and inventive fish dinners to the One-O-One restaurant.
The restaurant is renowned for its innovative seafood menu, normally in a brasserie style. The fish finger themed dinner is a reasonable £29 for 2 courses or £35 for 3 courses, which include a fish finger amuse bouche, tea or coffee and petit fours.
Highlights from the finger themed menu are the filo fish finger of salmon with wasabi mushy peas and the lobster boudin with scallops and Black autumn truffle that almost resembles a ‘posh’ or upgraded saveloy!
Even the desserts are ‘finger’ themed from the wonderfully sweet éclair of pineapple with coconut and vanilla Chantilly cream and Pina Colada sorbet…so if you have a sweet tooth, then you will definitely want to go for the three course option!
The hotel offers an extensive wine list, and we were recommended a lovely, crisp, dry white Sauvignon Blanc (Domaine Trotignon) to complement the fish themed dinner. There are a number of cocktails available too, but I’d definitely utilise the wonderful staff, who know a thing or two about the wines on offer.
Situated in a hotel near to Harvey Nicholls, Harrods and Knightsbridge station, the restaurant is in the midst of London’s elite shopping stores. The hustle and bustle outdoors is shut firmly outside as the One-O-One restaurant offers a serene place to unwind and relax after a long day with wonderfully comfortable seating and mood lighting alongside friendly waiting staff on hand at all times.

Fish fingers are amazing, there is no question about it, but this finger themed menu takes the humble fish finger to another level of fine dining.
You need to book a table right now, as the menu is only on until the 17th October, and if you are a seafood lover then you can be sure that you will enjoy every course, even the bread was moreish due to the addition of the seaweed butter!
A sneaky tip is to dine with a friend and order one of each choices on the menu, then you can share and be able to savour everything…believe me you will want to!
